SBC2000-188
Part of Vesta’s SBC2000 product line, this is still being built for existing customers, but we will not provide it for new development.
SBC2000-062
Part of Vesta’s SBC2000 product line. This board was similar to the SBC2000-074, but operated at lower speed and had fewer capabilities.
SBC332
Vesta’s first board based on the 68332 processor. This board had connectors that were compatible with the Motorola 68332-based Business Card Computer (BCC). It was superceded by the SBC2000-332. It is still being built, but only for existing customers.
SBC68K
Vesta’s first board based on a non-Intel processor. This board was based on a Motorola 68000 processor operating at 8MHz. It was superceded by the SBC332, which was a smaller and more capable board.
SBC196
This board was one of Vesta’s products before the SBC2000 product line was developed. It was available in variants based on the Intel 80C196KB and 80196KC processors. The peripheral boards that worked with it were the LBK196 (LCD, Beeper, and Keypad peripheral board) and the MEM196 (nonvolatile memory board). These boards were discontinued because of parts unavailability.
TINY188/TINY188A
This board was one of Vesta’s products before the SBC2000 product line was developed. It was based on an Intel 80C188 processor operating at 8MHz. The peripheral boards that worked with it were the DDS188 (a floppy-disk interface) and the ADIOS (an analog/digital I/O peripheral). The Tiny188 was the original version (board revisions 1.x) and the Tiny188 was a later updated design (board revisions 2.x). These boards were discontinued because of parts unavailability
MICRO88/MICRO88A
This board was one of Vesta’s products before the SBC2000 product line was developed. It used either an Intel 8088 at 4MHz, or a NEC V40 (8088 equivalent) at 8MHz. The peripheral board that worked with it was the MCIO/MCIOA (Machine Control I/O – analog and digital I/O peripheral). The Micro88 and MCIO were the original versions, and the MICRO88A and MCIOA were later updated designs. These boards were discontinued because of parts unavailability.
SBC88/SBC88A
This board was one of Vesta’s products before the SBC2000 product line was developed. It was actually one of Vesta’s first two original products. It was based on an Intel 8088 processor at 4MHz. The SBC88 was the original version, and used DIP sockets as I/O connectors. The SBC88A was a later revision, and used standard 0.1” Molex connectors instead. This board was discontinued because of parts unavailability and general obsolescence.
OEM188
This board was a VAST peripheral for the SBC2000 product line. It provided several channels of 8-bit analog input and output. It was discontinued because of a design flaw in the analog output-section – the DAC chip did not properly qualify SPI communications.
VAIO8
This board was a VAST peripheral for the SBC2000 product line. It provided several channels of 8-bit analog input and output. It was discontinued because of a design flaw in the analog output-section – the DAC chip did not properly qualify SPI communications.
VADC24
This board was a VAST peripheral for the SBC2000 product line. It provided a single channel of 24-bit analog input. It was discontinued because of a design flaw – the ADC chip did not properly qualify SPI communications.
